Sheri Karp
Sheri was raised by a family who believed work and family were one in the same. The only time Sheri can remember her grandmother closing the family owned neighborhood grocery store was for her cousin's Bar mitzvahs. Sheri's career is based on the work ethics, drive and optimum service that her grandmother possessed. So it isn't surprising that when Sheri graduated form The American University in Washington D.C., she has earned three degrees: a B.A. in Behavioral Science, Art and Education. "And," Sheri explains, "I have used all three of my degrees in my real estate career!"
Part of Sheri's reasoning behind becoming a real estate agent was her love for the Conejo Valley. When Sheri's youngest started school, Sheri was ready to go back to work and real estate seemed like a natural progression. Sheri got her real estate license in 1987 and started work on her son's first day of school. In her first year of real estate, Sheri was awarded for her production and has been rewarded as a Top Producer every year since. In 2007, she was awarded Agent of the Year for 2006 and this award was extremely important because it was voted on by her peers.
Sheri's expertise and knowledge of the marketplace is extensive. Sheri believes that product knowledge, knowing and understanding real estate is extremely important. An experienced agent knows the contract inside and out; an experienced agent will have already tried and "tested" the different ways things may occur and come up with solutions; an experienced agent will know how to get it done. Sheri is that experienced agent.
In Sheri's spare time, she paints portraits and figures in oil. To give back to her community many years ago she volunteered her home as a polling place for her precinct. She is also involved in the schools and Temples.

Jared Karp
Jared Karp has been in the real estate family most of his life, growing up listening to the value of buyer and selling at the dinner table. It was always a part time job during school to be in the real estate office with his mom stuffing envelopes, labeling and later using his computer skills to put the family real estate business into the next decade. He introduced new website advertising and internet advertising as well as high end brochures to the team. His computer knowledge was needed and refined the business both happily to the team and to the clients. Jared also assists in meeting the home inspectors and reviewing the reports with the inspectors. Jared's knowledge of home repairs is an asset to the team.
Later Jared studied the contract and took the classes necessary to obtain his license. He became a license real estate associate in February 2008. Jared is a valued member of the Karp Group. Jared has been assisting clients in their purchases as well as leases. He Enjoys taking care of his clients.
Jared is a 29 year old single man working hard to have a real estate career before he beings a family.

Melissa Karp Horowitz
Melissa is a licensed agent who joined The Karp Group in 2003 although she has been living the business through her mom most of her life. The words escrow, mortgage, pending and contingency have been in her vocabulary since she was 12! Melissa has been comparing homes and giving her advise on marketing since that age.
Melissa is vibrant and dynamic and brings a lot of energy to the team. She is full of ideas for finding homes, advertising and helping clients decorate their homes on a budget. Melissa has worked mainly with young families since she falls into that group herself. She has been married to Matthew for almost 7 years. They have 2 young children, Gavin and Logan.
Melissa has recently moved back to this area after living in Maryland for a few years. Melissa is helpful with her clients choosing schools, temples, activities and neighborhoods that will fit their family and children.
